Fleury Michon America has been working with local suppliers since 2016 to produce Chef Daniel Vézina’s meals dedicated to Air Transat passengers. The signature dishes are developed and prepared at Fleury Michon’s facilities located in Rigaud.
Daniel Vézina shows his strong will to support local producers and suppliers by integrating their products to his culinary creations. He is constantly challenging products origins to ensure only top-quality ingredient goes into his recipes. If a product is not available for purchase in Quebec, Fleury Michon America’s buyers will make every effort to find it at a Canadian supplier. « This is a daily challenge for our Purchasing Department. We also have to make sure that all the suppliers respect different certification rules before purchasing their products. » Isabelle Bergeron, Purchasing Supervisor at Fleury Michon America.
Aside from adding a crafted touch to recipes produced in great quantities, local purchasing enables the company to ensure product quality. Since they are aware of his attention to details and the quality of his recipes, the suppliers give special attention to products intended to Chef Veniza’s meals.
