Quality Assurance Technician

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the supervision of the Quality Assurance Supervisor, the Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for :

  • Ensuring through inspection, monitoring, verification or audit activities that the food safety management program and quality controls are applied by all employees and departments to ensure that finished products are manufactured in compliance with government food safety standards and FSSC22000 standards, as well as in compliance with Halal certification and customer quality requirements;
  • Performing additional quality checks on raw materials`;
  • Supporting the various departments in resolving quality and food safety issues;
  • Ensuring the healthiness of equipment and facilities before operations begin (pre-operational inspections);
  • Collecting and storing samples of all ingredients and finished products for internal or external analysis and tasting;
  • Sample and testing surfaces to validate cleanliness;
  • Performing quality controls on certain raw materials as required by the quality assurance program;
  • Checking analysis results for raw material release;
  • Calibrating equipment affecting food safety;
  • Checking that employees comply with good hygienic practices and food safety prevention procedures, and report any non-conformities;
  • Checking that corrective and preventive measures have been correctly implemented to avoid recurrence of the problem;
  • Responsible for maintaining good relations with staff at all levels and promoting a team spirit;
  • Performing all other related tasks.

  • Carry out a project or assignment within the framework of defined objectives
  • Comfortable working with Excel, Word and Outlook

HOURS AND BENEFITS

  • 3 weeks vacation + 5 personal days
