FUNCTION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Area Manager, the Food Assembly Operator (Line Manager) organizes and optimizes the work of his team on a production line (assembly) in accordance with defined procedures, technical data sheets and the manufacturing program.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Checks the next day’s schedule and validates with the foreman the availability of equipment and personnel
- Performs the preoperative visit
- Prepare the line (assembly and adjustment of equipment, installation of workstations, supply of materials) and test the correct operation of each line component before start-up.
- Anticipate ingredient requirements and sub-assembly suitability
- Mobilizes staff to achieve productivity and quality targets
- Adjusts line speed with the aim of achieving the production schedule with products meeting specifications
- Informs the area manager of the progress of his line’s production program
- Maintains all production tracking documents
- Measures the extent to which objectives have been achieved, informs the foreman and identifies with him the immediate actions to be taken.
- Suggests possible recipe and process improvements to the foreman
- Is responsible for monitoring all CCPs to be controlled on his line
- Checks product conformity at all times (weight, dosage and arrangement of ingredients, sealing, printing, packaging, etc.).
- Alerts foreman to non-conforming products and coordinates resolution of non-conformance issues
- Ensures all line personnel comply with health and safety measures
- Ensures that the working environment around its line is satisfactory and maintained in a clean and safe condition.
- Alerts the foreman to the presence of risk factors for the health or safety of employees on his line
- Responsible for enforcing and complying with the legal requirements of HACCP recognition and FSSC22000 certification
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma combined with 2 years’ experience in personnel management as a team leader
- 2-4 years production experience (asset)
- Assiduous at his post
- Good organization
- Contributes to team spirit
HOURS AND BENEFITS
- Premium applicable to evening schedule: $6240/year
- Schedule: 6 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or 3 p.m. to midnight
